A productive program was hosted at the 4th monthly meeting held with the theme “Current Issues in Global Politics” in cooperation with the Ministry of Youth and Sports (GSB), Divan Research and Education Association, and ODTÜBİRDER.
The program started with the speech of Dr. Alptekin Cihangir İşbilir, Chairman of the Board of Divan Research and Education Association, titled “Türkiye’s Capacity to Build Peace in the Turkish Century”, and continued with the speech of ODTÜBİRDER Campus Representative Ali Temizkan.
In the continuation of the program, Mr. Assoc. Dr. Mürsel Bayram gave his speech titled “A Historical Perspective on the Change in the International Economy-Political Position of the African Continent” and ORSAM Expert Dr. Kaan Devecioğlu made his presentation titled “The Effect of the Ethiopia-Somaliland Memorandum of Understanding on Regional Dynamics and Türkiye’s Approach to the Region”.
In the program, which then continued with participant presentations, many topics, from far-right movements in Western countries to China, from the ban on the use of phones by Turkish Armed Forces personnel to the Sudan crisis, were discussed by Diplomacy Academy participants.
In the program, panelists made presentations on the topics of “What Was Turkish Foreign Policy in 2023? What Awaits Us in 2024?” and “Arab-Israeli Conflict”.
The program themed “Current Issues in Global Politics”, with the participation of Dear Ambassador İrfan Neziroğlu, ended with the closing speech of Dr. Alptekin Cihangir İşbilir.
