Diplomacy Academy, in cooperation with Divan Association & ODTÜBİRDER, held its 6th monthly meeting hosted by the Ministry of Youth and Sports with the theme “From Past to Future in Global Politics: Diplomacy and Regional Dynamics”.
The first session of the program started with the speech titled “Türkiye’s Public Diplomacy Capacity” by Mr. Dr. Alptekin Cihangir İşbilir, Chairman of the Board of Divan Research and Education Association. Then ODTÜBİRDER Campus Representer Ali Temizkan expressed his views on the MENA Workshops, which lasted 126 days.
The second session, which started with the presentation of Dear Prof. Dr. Çınar Özen titled “Post-Cold War World System and the Middle East”, was completed with questions from the participants.
The next session started with Gulf Workshop Coordinator Zehranur Ertek’s presentation on Saudi Arabia’s NEOM Project and ended with Levant Workshop Social Media Officer Ömer Furkan Polat’s presentation on Palestine-Israel relations.
The fourth session of the program started with Horn of Africa Coordinator Ahmet Hasan Arslan’s presentation on the Horn of Africa and its geopolitics. Following the session, Levant Workshop Coordinator Münevver Fatıma Özyurt made her presentation titled “Perception of Syria on YouTube”, while Diplomacy Academy participant Nil Duru Eren concluded the session with the presentation “Portrait of Ethnic Diversity in Kosovo: Existing Together”.
In the last session of the program, İklima Sümer, one of the participants of the Diplomacy Academy, discussed the Sahel Region as the subject of her presentation, while Buse İşler discussed the modernization activities in the Middle East and the political transformation of Iran. The last session ended with the presentation titled “Türkiye’s International Energy Strategy” by Energy Workshop Coordinator Muhammet Emin Atcı.
The March meeting of the Diplomacy Academy with the theme “From the Past to the Future in Global Politics: Diplomacy and Regional Dynamics” ended with the closing speech of Dr. Alptekin Cihangir İşbilir.
