The European Young Diplomacy Academy, organized by the Divan Association, was completed.
The European Young Diplomacy Academy, organized by the Divan Association, was held in Kocaeli between 10-19 June with the participation of 34 young people from 6 countries (Turkey, Azerbaijan, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Jordan, Norway, Lithuania).
During the 10-day program, issues such as diplomacy, foreign policy and soft power were discussed at the European Young Diplomacy Academy, which was organized to increase intercultural dialogue. After the introduction and acquaintance activities, the program continued with teamwork, communication trainings, the foreign policies of the participating countries and the youth policies.
Cultural transfer was carried out between the participants with the introductions of the country and information about non-governmental organizations at the culture night. Participants were involved in active learning activities such as peer learning.
In addition to the trainings, official institution visits and cultural trips were made in Ankara and Istanbul. During the TIKA and YTB visits in Ankara, the participants were informed about Turkey’s soft power activities. Information on Turkey’s youth work was given during the visits to the International Youth Center of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, and the Şehit Hikmet Baysal Youth Center of the Sultangazi Municipality. Presidential National Library in Ankara, Hamamönü, Ankara Castle; Cultural transfer was carried out in Istanbul with a Bosphorus tour and a tour of the Historical Peninsula.
The program ended with the creation of new project ideas, the evaluation session and the distribution of Youthpass certificates to the participants.
