Young Türkiye Diplomacy Forum

The Young Türkiye Diplomacy Forum, which we will organize within the scope of our project, will explore the horizons of diplomacy on a number of key regional, national and international thematic issues under the theme of "Innovative Diplomacy". Young Türkiye Diplomacy Forum aims to ensure the evaluation of challenges, opportunities and innovative approaches to diplomatic engagement and solutions in the service of sustainable peace and development. This project will bring together the skills of young people, leaders, decision-makers and policy makers from politics, diplomacy, science, journalism, civil society, business and other channels.

- Participants must be 18 years or older.

- Participants must be undergraduate / graduate students / graduates in departments such as Economics and Administrative Units, Political Sciences, Political Science, International Relations and Law.

*Accommodation and travel expenses of candidates who are successful in the interviews will be covered by the Divan Association.

Ankara Meeting: 21-23 October 2022

Istanbul Meeting: 3-5 February 2023

Summit: 18-19-20-21 August 2023

Our project will mainly cover topics from the disciplines of foreign policy, diplomacy, politics, society, economy, history, art and literature. In addition to these topics focused specifically on Türkiye, participants will also receive training on current trends in world politics, society and economy, as well as global issues such as conflict resolution, mediation and environmental diplomacy. As well to these trainings, which will be given by academics from leading universities, experts from think tanks/non-governmental organizations and senior bureaucrats, Turkish diplomats will give briefings on Türkiye's bilateral relations in a regional and global perspective.

Within the scope of the project, practices such as meeting games, orientation, program introduction, non-formal learning, group dynamics, sharing of good practices, producing, evaluating and monitoring future projects, as well as seminars with expert guests, official institution visits, cultural trips and activities will be carried out. It is aimed to carry out the studies in an interactive and dynamic way.

Participants who regularly participate in the activities within the scope of the project will be given a Youthpass+ participation certificate.
